Defense Minister Katz called for the military to turn over to the police the responsibility for protecting Palestinians after two West Bank families were besieged by violent settlers.
Kevin Rideout, a pilot, was abducted from his home in the country’s capital, Niamey, last fall. His mission organization said he was in “good health” after his release.
