Former Representative Mary Peltola of Alaska did not appear to be happy that former Vice President Kamala Harris put out a fund-raising appeal on her behalf. Ms. Harris lost the 2024 presidential election in Alaska by 14 points.
The president has been focused on the race since the death of Lindsey Graham in July. Ms. Graham, the late senator’s sister, is competing against Representative Ralph Norman in a runoff on Aug. 25.
