Luigi Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania on Dec. 9, 2024, in connection with the murder of Brian Thompson, the chief executive of UnitedHealthcare, the previous week.
Mr. Mangione faces federal charges of stalking that resulted in the death of a health insurance executive. A guilty plea could close the federal case — and complicate a separate state murder trial.
